I was browsing the internet on no particular suspicious site in particular when all of the sudden about six virus messages popped up from my internet security program. I told it to get rid of all the contaminated files, and it seemed to work. I had to go somewhere later, but my computer takes forever to boot up and I was plannign on using it when I got back, so I put it on power-save. When i got back, everything looked fine until I was on the internet once more and random browsers started quitting without my doing. I could not stop them from closing, and after they were gone, my computer said it was logging off even though I never told it to, and once it "logged off", the log in browser never came back even though the computer was still on. I turned off the computer manually, and rebooted it, and it seemed fine at first until everything froze spontaneously after about five minutes of using the computer. I had to shut it down manually again, but I decided to log on in safe mode, and it seemed to work okay once more. I ran a full system virus scan which took hours, and more than 24 trajans came up. The antivirus program asked if i wanted to quarentine them, and I said yes. They all went away, but my computer still doesn't work properly, runs slowly, and randomly freezes after about five minutes of hopeful processing. Anyway, a friend of mine who knows computers like the back of his hand is going to make me a new one, and see if he can salvage my laptop for me, but until then, art updates are on an official hold. I'm hoping to have a new and functioning computer in about 2 weeks. Until then, I am reduced to doodling in paint on my mom's laptop...
